Mission
At Alphabet Optics, our mission is to minimize the prevalence of preventable blindness and provide eyewear for children in underserved communities. By providing prescription glasses to underprivileged children and direct donations for refractive error screening, we can reduce childhood blindness and allow children to see clearly.
It is estimated that 80% of learning takes place visually, which is why vision is crucial to a child’s education and long-term success. Additionally, visually impaired children face major educational barriers. By catching vision impairments early on and providing prescription glasses, these students will be given the best possible opportunity to succeed in the classroom setting.
